Why would ESPN spend 3 hours promoting a game

Why would ESPN spend 3 hours promoting a game that will be televised on the Big 10 Network channel? This is an easy business decision. They'd do the same for a game from the ACC that they have the TV rights to broadcast vs. one that they don't.

I didn't say they would never go to a Big 10 game. Not all of their games are broadcast on the Big 10 Network.

Even if Wisconsin wins today, they'll go to our game instead of Wisconsin vs. Michigan next week.
