Sports valuation in America. I was just doing a quick dive

into NFL salaries, looking at the various MINIMUM salaries vs years of service. In 2029, the MINIMUM rookie salary goes to 1.02 MILLION dollars per year. Now, since rookie deals are 4 years plus a 5th year option, the MINIMUM a drafted rookie will make during those 5 years will pretty much eclipse my entire 40 year career earnings in the chemical industry.
We do love our footsball here in America. Now, I know Engineers will also be making more money per year by then, but it won't come anywhere close to that of an NFL player. I don't begrudge them their money, their bodies get FAR more beat up in just those 4 rookie years than mine did in a whole lifetime of going up and down stairs and ladders in a chemical plant. Butt, I will say, those nasty overhanging pipes that you run into with your hard hat hit pretty doggone hard, though. They don't give a whole lot, but your neck will. They will send you to a chiropractor real quick.
