Yet another Lawrence vs. KB topic

I watched every snap of the season last year. I also watched the entire spring game.
Did Bryant make a single throw last year that was as good as Lawrence's first TD throw of the day in the spring game? I don't seem to remember one.
That throw was amazing. I believe the throw was 56 yards right on the money. IT was pretty solid coverage as well and Lawrence threw Higgins open.

Game 1 I believe it was his first TD throw of the season and to Cain, was a beauty.

You're seriously not comparing our spring game, with 4 and 5 stars all over the field to a game vs Kent State, are you?? Our Scout team with no starters is better than Kent State.
Trevor in the spring game was throwing into coverage vs 4 star Mark Fields; with 5 star Christian Wilkins, 4 star Austin Bryant, 4 star Richard Yeargin, 4 star Logan Rudolph, and 4 star Nyles Pinckney all on the opposing line coming after him. That is a FAR cry from what Kent State had on the field covering Bryant's throw.

The short answer is no. I'm sorry but he has a hard time fitting it in a window 15-20yds ahead let alone 55yds downfield.

Again, game 1 he had a 61 yarder in the bread basket of Cain, ended up as his best all season unfortunately.

Sad part is that KB could probably be a very good RB, and have a good chance to play at the next level. He'll never play a minute in the NFL at QB. KB had a golden opportunity on Saturday to make a statement. After a year's experience as our starting QB, he fell flat. It is what it is. He's the 6th ranked QB in the ACC. How can we have any pretense of winning big with that. We were very lucky in some games this past season. Can we really count on that this coming season? Can anyone imagine that any of our opposing defensive coordinators haven't watched the Alabama game?

I agree, I think KB would make a great running back. Everyone talks about how his legs are his strength so let's put him at running back. He would be a little big (6'4) but he's shown he's good at running the ball. Would set up some interesting plays too with his previous qb experience.

KB does not see the field well enough to be a RB. He doesn't see holes and consistently loses where he is at on the field in certain situations (running out of bounds just short of the first down marker).
I honestly don't know where else he could play but dont think its rb. If TL starts all year I would bet he runs for more yards than KB did last year

The truth is we can win with all 4 qb's. KB is a good college qb who is a good runner and an average passer at best. He can win a lot of games this year because of our D but Sunshine and HJ are better passers and can help us win it all this year imo. I like KB but he does not have the overall talent that TL and HJ have.

Funny comment!
But, please show me where I mentioned anything about Dabo’s knowledge? It was just an observation.
Also, it is pretty wild that TL threw a better ball than KB threw all of last year on his second attempt in our spring game. Dude is going to be a monster
Why do people get so butt hurt here?

probably because of dumba$$ comments like this
"Also, it is pretty wild that TL threw a better ball than KB threw all of last year on his second attempt in our spring game. "
First, very NOT true.
Second, TL has NEVER played a college game in his life. Hope he is the man once ESPN has run 12 hours of highlights about HIM before an away ESPN gameday game.
Third, TL has never faced a college defense.
He's a great talent and will be a great QB,
but you're the expert here.

Yes, I do realize that playing against a live defense is different than the spring game.
Also, I realize that KB made some great throws last year. I like KB he’s a classy dude and he’s a solid college QB
This post was meant to point out what a great talent TL is and not to put KB down. That said, I still don’t think KB threw a better ball all season last year. TL is a generational type talent and he will make plenty more throws just like that one if he starts.

KB also threw a beauty against Miami in the ACCCG ... but between the 1st game and the ACCCG, my memory of anything that resembles a long ball escapes me. Sad but true ...

VT: to Ray Ray (27 yard) to Cain (35 yard) ....VT actually had a defense worth stating the throw wasn't vs a JV HS team (#13 total defense, #26 team passing efficiency defense).
His long vs Miami was only 27-30 yards.
His longest deep ball facing an FBS was vs Louisville (pass without run was about 48 yards), but Louisville's D ended #70 in team passing efficiency defense.
Kent State, the throw without run was about the same (around 47-48 yards)...they are 82 in passing efficiency defense.
Also had a 48 yarder vs Citadel to Cain.

His throw in the first game was solid, but Cain was wide open. KB threw some nice passes, but none even close to Trevor's pass on the second play of the game.

Several nice throws to Ray Ray and Renfrow, and great runs

It seems like to me, that KB made some nice throws downfield in games before his injury, and then lost his confidence in them in the games after Cuse. Maybe he can gain his confidence back or maybe he should switch to running back to play in the pros?

ESPN got it right in saying that Elite programs like Clemson & Alabama will not settle for average QB play & that Lawrence will push for the job early.
