I have mentioned this before but my better half's last name used to be Hayes....She has been to their family reunions when Woody was there & she said he was an ####### LOL...
Her ex father in law was first cousin's with him....The only coach they've had I liked was Tressell and yes they ran him off...Their AD that just retired Gene Smith was the worst/laziest AD they ever had...Tressell just got caught up in the tattoo bit & he always did believe that the boys should get some money..
Woody did make me a Clemson fan though hahaha

I remember him losing it and trying to take out a kid in college at Clemson because we couldn’t possibly beat him… but we did!

Great clip of Woody Hayes. Believe it or not he was a very influential man in the 1960s and 70s and a lot of us played under coaches who tried to emulate him. I know that he won a lot of football games, but sometimes progress can be measured best by firings and funerals.
Fine line between being a disciplinarian and a degenerate. Woody Hayes crossed it.
