Why I want Don Brown as DC

Dec 6, 2021, 6:43 PM

1. I don't think it will happen; but this is the one coach I think could come close to filling BV's shoes.
2. Look back at when he had talent to work with and his defenses were top 3 in the nation if not 1st.
3. He is currently the HC at UMASS and isn't doing well; he isn't a HC and Clemson could pay him as much or more than he is making at UMASS.

And then there is stuff like this: https://insidethepylon.com/film-study/film-study-u/defense-film-study-u/2017/08/18/best-defense-college-football/

My two pennies!

Hiring from within is fine! Bates or Cohn probably!

He was just recently named HC at UMass, he's a Massachusetts native and he's 66 years old. Not a good fit at all.

Uh, UMASS is umass!

How old is Nick Saban?

This dudes defenses were legit good and he put kids in the NFL left and right! Harbaugh just never could muster enough offense. Somebody had to take the blame and "well"!

Being a Massachusetts native might keep him; as I said, "won't happen" but I think he could come in and have our defense in the top 5 in the country immediately. He did at Michigan for years and for the one or two years he was at Boston College! #1 D in fact at least once at BC.

And at Clemson - he would have a lot better Jimmy's and Joe's to work with!
