I hear that aOSU and UA have transfers but don’t see them without lurking on some recruiting-heavy sites. But as soon as we have a transfer, it’s news.

Osu's transfer portal remains on the headlines, probably cause it's osu and a highest rated of the class.

I do agree with you that EsecPN tries to limit any negative story on Bama but that rings true for all the sec teams. I remember when 3 or 4 Auburn thugs were arrested for armed robbery and EsecPN waited a while to put it in their headlines, and then left it up for less than a day.
