Who remembers the GT rain game back in the 00s

We had a hurricane turned tropical storm come through the Valley when Clemson was hosting GT. Water was cascading off the upper deck. The Tiger was using the hill as a slip’n slide. Clemson ended up beating GT pretty easily.

Yeah that was 2002. It absolutely poured. I recall seeing a guy swimming between the wall and the first row of bleachers on the South Side lower deck during the game because there was so much standing water. We used to tailgate in Lot 13 back then and they had to shut most of it down that day as it became a mud bog. I also forgot our tent cover that day so it remains entrenched in my mind.

I remember this game. It poured liked crazy and then as luck would have it I found a random tent cover that I've been using since 2002
|

I remember a Tech game in The Valley that it poured 1st half

then cleared off for halftime and the 2nd half. Can't remember the year.

The other was also GT, when Gameday was there with CJ and James Davis

game.
I think people just recall the ND being worse because it was much, much colder.
crappy poncho i had gave out in the 2nd qrt of the GT game but it was warm enough to just go balllz out.
The three 45 ounce bottles of colt 45 i had in me may have also played a role.

I was at that one, part of the Poncho Patrol, for the little good that did. I remember the poor GTech band was wearing what look like one-hour Martinizing bags that were falling apart. A miserable night, but a fun game!
