What do you call folks who drive like Fred Davis in ATL...

Just another a-hole ATL driver. They're everywhere here.

115 mph is pretty uncommon, but 100 mph? I see it every day on my work commute. Weaving between lanes...running red lights...crossing solid lines....tailgating. You name it.

Fred Davis should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and get a hefty punishment from Dabo...don't get me wrong.

But I think some of you are having a little bit of a hyperbolic reaction on this. Is it related to small town living?

Quit the virtue signaling and let the process play out. Trust me...Fred Davis is going to regret the hayull out of this for a long long time. His wallet will also regret it mightily.

I bet those roads are bigger than 123 but that's just a guess.

Yep. 2 lane rural highway compared to 6 lanes on either side of interstate.

I'm 91+ and don't know what it's like to drive 100 mph. And, I don't care to know!! In all my years of driving (since 15), I have never caused an accident (thank God).

For the record, those people DO cause horrible accidents including death, and it SHOULD still be discouraged (excessive speed is one of the 2nd-leading cause of death in fatal car accidents in Georgia).

That last part is personal, I suppose, but hopefully that helps understand why so many are so upset (never mind 123 often not having a median or barrier & certainly not being 6-lanes wide on either side, or being 40 MPH in some points, et al.).

Absolutely they cause fatal wrecks...

ATL interstates are very scary....you have to have your head on a swivel to catch all the jerks coming in every direction.

When I lived in Atlanta, traffic fatalities were so common that they didn't even make the news.

What are some of the other 2nd leading causes of death in Georgia ?

Brad Brownell: all-time losingest coach in Clemson men's basketball history, and only coach to beat North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

I live in ATL and have to say it's getting better

in terms of high speed a$$holes, that's because the traffic is hardly moving MOST OF THE TIME!!! :)

What could be so important that someone has to drive 100mph?***

There is a punishment that would discourage that kind of driving.

50+ mph over the speed limit is an instant death penalty. You’ve already proven your life and the lives of others around you don’t mean anything to you. It’s a no brainer.
