We can go at 11 or 2 with an elite defense. It doesn't always have to be pretty but a 17-14 win is a win. Being from Sooner country trust me when I tell you a 54-52 win is just as frustrating as a 17-14 when the bottom line is you win. Clemson can still win the ACC and can still go 11- 2. It might not be pretty, it might not always work out the way we want it to but with this defense the offense can find a way to score just enough to win.

I get what you’re saying here. If we grind out a 10-2 season with a bunch of 3 point wins I’ll be elated. Having seen Clemson also go through parts of seasons where it felt like we couldn’t stop anyone, imo, it’s a still easier (not easy) watching when you’re confident your offense can consistently score points. Feel like you’re never completely out of a game, we can comeback if we’re down… watching this Clemson team is constant hope (and prayers) the defense forces a turnover, or if an opposing player is open that he drops the ball, when a pass goes up, I’m hoping the WR catches it, or is on the TV screen. I don’t have much confidence in the current offensive scheme and I’m losing confidence in our offensive coaches to properly develop players. Yes, wins are wins. It’s really painful to watch an offense like this.
