How is Clemson going to pay its' share.
The House case was about denial of athlete pay.

You’re not winning anything though? It would be on thing if their were a ROI but there’s nothing besides an ego boost. If they want to pay the players fine do it out of the TV contracts all I’m saying is it shouldn’t be the fans responsibility.

Yep 10 percent starters. We all know where that will end up. #### tickets and parking are getting expensive, and high food prices for food that’s not really any good.
Chairbacks were $15 a piece. Unreal.
May be watching from the house unfortunately. Have been going to Clemson games for years but my wallet is not currently staying up with the rising prices on everything and anything I buy.

You could be 100% correct. Wasn't it said a few years ago that the TV had gotten so big that the fans in the stands with ticket sales couldn't come close to matching the money that commercial slots made with just commercial slots that are sold for even the scrub games made with selling commercials slots. If true, stadium's will soon be built with only a very few places to sit, just enough for players families...

I think a salary cap would be illegal unless the players collectively agree to it.. The schools tried to cap coaching salaries a while back and lost in court.

It would. I have always said the only way this gets better is with a collective bargaining agreement. It puts equal power in both sides and allows them to negotiate to the middle. I feel like that will be hard to do until we get to a one league model (the 50-60 teams everyone is talking about).

We're just in the transition phase now.

My kids need things, my family needs things. I worry about my life first, let Tennessee do what they need to do and we will see if Clemson or other schools follow suit.

That is your right. But people need to decide whether they want to get back the the elite level we spent so long at, or stay at the 2023 level. Do you want to win, or do you want to brag about the grades of football players you don’t even know, or what else, shake your finger at UGA for their off the field issues after they boat race us?
People I know want to win. Tigernet doesn’t represent what I hear out in the real world from Clemson fans.
Do whatever it takes to win or don’t play.

That’s some of the dumbest #### I’ve heard in a while, but nobody is stopping you from whipping out the checkbook. We all want to win but what does the fans get for constantly shelling out money bragging rights?? Now if you want give fans investment opportunities that’s one thing but to expect us to pay the players that are under no type of contractual agreement to stay at the school is insane. What are you going to do when you’re spending insane amounts of money and still not winning?

…I have a hard time ponying up incremental $ to be handed to someone who drives a Lamborghini to practice. As someone else suggested, they should just quietly raise the price. Huge mistake to put it in this context and say it out loud.
If Tennessee loses a game they should have won, will the players hand out $100 bills to the exiting fans? This should work both ways.

The fans have long been the ones responsible for paying the players.
From the Wild West of the 80's with $100 handshakes to the Wild West of NIL today...the fans are the ones buying the tickets, merchandise, and watching the games that provide TV revenue.

That should be a violation of NCAA rules right from the start bc that is the same as a booster or a fan tapering with players the very same that it's always been. Before we couldn't even offer to by a recruit a hamburger. What 10 A C is suggesting is no different IMO!!!
Further more the NIL I thought was for name, likeness and image that companies can offer them money to use them as a face of their products, and by a tariff added to tickets is nothing like the rule of giving players money for their N I L...

I thought 'Welp' was Spud's line. Anyway, I only go to the Vols games if I get tickets for free and I used to get a LOT of them that way. Tickets used to be easy to come by. Not so much the last few years. If that is what the market will bear, then so be it. We will soon all be priced out of the market anyway.

Yeah I haven't been to a clemson game in years anyway so they wont miss my measly little 2 ticket purchase, however for those here that do regularly go to games i certainly don't blame you if Clemson were to ever do something similar to TN with a "talent fee"
So the fans should pay for talent? and not the tennessee coach's? the coach of TN makes 8 million year, the assistants make alot also, but they (TN) are gonna hit up hard working people, many who have kids, so that some kid can be lured to your university for 3 years by giving him a 200K car and money on top of it? No.....stop with the poor kid who wants his dream routine....who cares we all want our dream. they can earn it like anyone else if they want it by making it to the NFL or earning a free education diploma to get a real job. Save your money for your own kid, or even yourself it will be better spent than going to some 18 year old buying a rolls royce and getting 4 speeding tickets cause he thinks hes a celeb........literally making the community and public unsafe with these handout programs as seen in Athens.

Cost of doing business. Buyer of ticket has the choice of not paying the fee. Just don't buy ticket. Shucks! Have you been to a movie theater lately. County tacks on extra tax to pay for something, no one knows what it for.

Nope sure haven’t the prices are ridiculous, but the only reason they’re ridiculous it’s because the consumers are to dumb to figure out they control the market.

Ticket prices have been constantly increasing anyway. If they didn't tell you why it increased by 10%, you wouldn't care.

With attitudes like this as well as no alcohol sales and the inability to think outside the box we will handicap Clemson from being amongst the elite again in college football. I'd have no problem paying an extra 10% if it meant winning.
