We must lead the nation in players out

With season ending injuries. Not just players but starters. Breese, Brockhorst, Taylor, Zanders, Foster, all are major players.
Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi has a big mouth. Does he honestly think that year in and year out Pitt will be able to recruit to that half empty, off-campus stadium and continue to beat Clemson. I hope one #### thing that Dabo doesn't take a knee next time either.
Anonymous coaches on espn regarding our offensive problems. One said we dont have playmakers.well, we should with six straight top ten classes and a five star quarterback. I guess some of those were overrated or didn't develop. Another said we have never recruited as well on offensive line and we lack toughness. He probably has a point.
Why no playmakers. We have so many highly recruited receivers that dont play like it. We had better receivers than this when we were losing in the 1970s and didn't even have ranked classes: Jerry Butler mid to late 70s Bennie Cunningham mid 70s Craig Brantley mid 70s Perry Tuttle late 70s early 80s
I knew we weren't going to stay in the top- 4 forever 2015. #2 2016. #1 2017 #4 2018 #1 2019 #2 2020 #3
But I am just stunned that we have completely fallen off the edge of the cliff. Honestly, if they dont do something to fix this line and these receivers and this offense, it will take a while to get back. DJ has a long ways to go, but he looked better than the receivers and the offensive line last Saturday.
Going to be tough to beat FSU. Dont tell me their defense isn't good. It doesn't matter what defense we play, we can't top 19 in regulation. This is not the FSU that lost to Jacksonville State.and even if it was, we'd still have only 14 or 17 points on the scoreboard come 4th quarter.

Actually here is the official list.
Clemson OSU UGA Wisky LSU USC Oregon
In p5, the teams listed above as of 10-26 lead the nation in scholly players listed on IR. All teams range from 14-16 players. So you can kinda make a correlation of the teams affected most. Obviously OSU and UGA have better depth than we do. Once you break through our 1's, especially on offense lines, our drop off is 2 * and low 3* players. Not true for Bama, OSU and UGA.

Also as an addendum to this, we went into the season with less schollys than the above mentioned programs. So there's that too... But that was our fault.

Why is that? Why do we put ourselves at that disadvantage?

What are we doing that leads us to that position?

th depth they build by stock piling players while we reward former walkons etc. But I had no idea that Ohio State and Georgia were at the top of that list with us.
The usual suspects are still in the race for a playoff except us. Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and no Clemson. I don't care how people spin it, the offensive coaching let us down this year with a product that was not ready to compete at any FBS level, let alone a playoff contending level. All they had was an elite defense that was wasted with this offense. But I'm rambling now.

I bet the list changes - or Clemson’s “lead” grows substantially- if you just counted starters.

Who are the 2 and low 3* players playing on the offensive line?
Also this doesn't prove that any other team has more depth than Clemson. If we lose an All-American and those teams lose a 3rd string scholarship player it's obviously going to affect Clemson more.
A list of teams with the most starters lost for the season would be a much more representative list to compare who has been hit the hardest.
That I can think of, only Foster and Pennington are reserves (Will Taylor a semi-starter at the time of injury) that we have lost for the year.
I guess we aren't sure if Spector would have been a starter since he never got to participate in camp at all.

I don’t own it. It’s not up to date even for this weekend.
Add the fact that we don’t use the portal and we don’t have many 6 year seniors, we lack a lot of experience.

In regards to players out, I think it falls into the category of "Strength and Conditioning". Just seems logical that the better conditioned a player is, it might be that some, not all, but some of those injuries would not be season ending. And Narduzzi may have a big mouth, but which team won? So he can basically say and do what he wants with in the rules of decorum. Anonymous coaches on eSECpn, not ESPN have no credibility. Why no playmakers ?Every team ,save Alabama can have an off year, but this is the first season in a long time we have not had a consistent quarterback who can get the ball to those play makers or who can't make the catches. As to falling off the edge, I think we are beginning to see that maybe Tony Elliott might not be as good on his own with out that talent, or without a Jeff Scott. And if is going to be tough to beat FSU,then it is what it is. What is going to be tougher is if we are trailing and Dabo again sticks with the status quo

We might. In all my years I don't think we've ever been this injured.
Considering we have 4 and 5* talent across the board on offense I think it's safe to say Clemson has plenty of playmakers. Anyone blaming it on the players doesn't know anything about football. (WR's not blocking, or running banana routes has nothing to do with talent)
Also, anyone who's watched us play this year can see that our "O" is one of the worst coached in units in the country.
This season is all on the offensive coaches. They stink.
