on the back of her neck on the follow through . . . Damm, that had to smart!!!

Nope - it broke as she hit the grounder to short off the end of the bat . . . Then it whipped around cracking her in the back of the neck!!!

I cant believe that bat stayed together enough to whack her in the back of the head like it did! Glad she is tough and able to continue.

Does anyone know if those softball bats are composite or wood? Obviously not aluminum or dont sound like it anyway.

to composite bats as they are lighter and easier for the manufacturers to distribute weight more accurately.
