I love how Donald blithely declares: "the Founders would not want"...even as he proceeds to tell everyone to disregard exactly what they specifically wrote that they did actually want. You know, the stuff they put in the Constitution.
And none of the MAGA's - or, honestly, most of the GOP loyalists who aren't even MAGA - have a problem with that. The MAGA's actually want iron-fisted autocracy - they outed themselves as outright Fascists long ago - but the thing that really bothers me is the indifference of people I like and respect who should know better who are just rank-and-file Republicans. They're not crazy. They're not even bad people...most of them, quite the opposite. But they...just don't seem to care.
I'm going to go with the notion that they just haven't made the mental connection that democracy is like air. You don't notice it, it's all around you, you take it for granted...until it's not there, and then you choke to death. Ask the Iranians, the Russians, or the Chinese what that's like. Ask the poor folks in Hong Kong, who once had freedom, and have since watched the Party steadily squeeze the life, freedom, and agency right out of the city.
My guess is if that ever happens here, they'd sure notice its absence then. But the problem is, by then it's also too late.

But as is normal with the medias reporting of Trump, they are intentionally mis-reading and twisting Trump's post on Truth Social to indicate he is for terminating portions of the Constitution when in fact he is making the point that election fraud is the culprit that actually terminates the rule of law in the Constitution.

I completely disagree. They aren't intentionally twisting anything, sir. The idea that there was widespread voter fraud is a pretext and justification from the word "go"...it's complete bullsh!t, you know it, I know it, his attorney general William Barr knew it, his chief White House Counsel Pat Cippolone knew it, the Joint Chiefs all knew it (and gave very specific orders to their commands to disregard any illegal orders that originated from the White House).
Heck, even his own daughter Ivanka knew it...and said so herself.
So he's using a lie everyone knows is a transparent lie, still asserting it's true...and then using that transparently disproven lie to justify his suggestion that the Constitution must be set aside. That's exactly what he said and nobody misread that.
That sort of the definition of those "enemies foreign and domestic".

that Trump is saying that because some media companies chose not to cover the Hunter Biden laptop story (which I think was wrong btw), that the results of the election should be thrown out...and President Trump believe that suppressed media coverage would have, and would still, justify suspending the laws of our country, up to and including the Constitution.
What am I missing in the context here??

I would be in favor of a new election, however I think you're somewhat out of explicit Constitutional space. I would think Congress would have to set something up. But whatever they would do, it would not terminate or modify any part of the Constitution, unless they amended it.

I'm pretty sure Trump's hardcore supporters aren't bothered by his association with Holocaust deniers and white nationalists. They're his base.

Marjorie Taylor Greene even criticized his dinner and now Qanon is attacking her. There is no crazier right-winger in the country than her, but even the slightest willingness to criticize Trump and the idiots lose their minds.

My favorite thing about MAGAts is that for a bunch of people who are bootlickers for Trump because "he speaks his mind, he says what he means." They are constantly saying, "he didn't really mean that. he was misunderstood" when he says something either stupid or objectionable.
