I remember when we were recruiting this kid and seemed like we would get him...since then when I watch UNC games I look for him, expecting him to be out there dominating, not so much. So was it that he just wasn't as good as the recruiting services had him as, or is it that UNC didn't develop him like we do DL and he could've been way better if he had been a Tiger.

He has a RS year available.

For his first two seasons at UNC, his strength and conditioning regimen must have been competing against Joey Chestnut in hot dog eating competitions.

This past year, he was still too fat but not embarrassingly so.

Assuming that Capehart comes back for his COVID / 6th season, I wouldn’t take Shaw unless he agreed to a minor NIL deal and a RS season for 2025.

If Capehart doesn’t come back for his 6th season (not coming back would be a mistake for him), then we’d need to play Shaw in 2025.

He could be helpful in either 2025 or 2026 if he does what he’s supposed to do in our S&C program.
