Some of you might disagree but idc. I have a lot of knowledge of baseball so take it as you want… Bakich did a terrible job of managing today… first the starting lineup… why no creighton all weekend(I know he was suspended game 1) and why didn’t Bissetta start?? Second no reason McGovern isn’t starting.. he proved it late in the year last year he is good enough to start… very similar to Darden in my opinion… and then lastly in the bottom of the 7th you are telling your team you gave up but pinch hitting for cam…and for us not to be able to hit the last guy when all he threw was away from righties and into lefties…not hard to make an adjustment to tell the hitters where the pitch is going..I know it’s the first weekend but very disappointed in the coaching today..

I agree. What an embarrassing loss today. We win the games against top 25 talent and lose to the SEC. So tired of the narrative and we don’t help our self by losing these games. Have to win these games.

I’m only disappointed that we used this game to throw a bunch of guys to figure out who can help us. If we threw our best arms I think we could’ve won today and that’s hard to swallow BUT it was a very good weekend. We are going to be great once the pitching is healthy and the lineup sets

I would agree with most of that thought coaching was bad today we threw kids for experience game like we were playing the citadel… that was embarrassing gotta have a little more pride then that

Yea I thought we would go undefeated this season too…..
What if the attitude in the dugout sucked in the 6th so coach decided to send a message?
This tournament meant nothing other than starting out against good competition instead of playing the local library and the sister of the nuns. We went 2-1. If we go 2-1 every weekend the rest of the year this place will be ecstatic.
Ole Miss saw the ball well today and took advantage of it. They have good players too.

Nvr said they didn’t have good players… and it’s okay to lose.. in my opinion it’s not okay to get blown out because you arnt playing your best 9 and are pitching guys with not much experience…that’s not what I’m okay with.

guess you missed the part where EB said the lineup would change a lot until we play the cots. but hy silly bringing it up to someone that knows a lot about baseball .

Ya you change it up in the middle of the week if you want to get playing time for newbies or when you arnt playing a sec school … still doesn’t explain why creighton only got 1 ab this weekend.

They were shut out 10-0 last nite and picked to finish next to last in SEC . It is an embarrassing loss no question . We had all offseason to figure out pitching and today wasn’t the time to figure it out . Bakich gets an F today for coaching in his 1st game back . Couldn’t get past the SEC in the supers last year at home and continued to carp the bed against them today ! Facts , not pretty but true .

Starting pitcher put us in a hole and we got down by 7 runs. Know it is early in the season but the guy was really struggling and didn’t have it today. Still say he should been pulled after already being down by 5 and then he gives up a 2 run bomb. That is a pretty big hole to dig out of and come back😃

Two top 25 teams. I wouldn't get so bent out of shape over this and it's also a time when you are figuring out lineups.

Oh Help!! OMG,, the sky has fallen! This ain’t Omaha fellas. It’s basically still a pre-season tournament. Coaches taking notes big time. Ole Miss blasted us and went 2-1. We went 2-1 also. Not a bad start. This is only mid- February. Get off the ledges, EB has a good group this season. One bad game where we fail to show up doesn’t doom the season.

Basically that the National Championship wasn’t played today. This was a fund raiser pre-season tournament (invitational ). A good time for coaches to see their teams against good competition and take notes. This is a good team. There will be bad days but a lot more great days I believe.
