Dabo Swinney gives his early prediction on "superconference era"

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney is confident in his program as uncertainty seems to loom over college sports. Conference realignment retook center stage in the college sports discussion when news of Texas and Oklahoma's expected move to the SEC surfaced last week. Dabo is right, just focus on Clemson.
Jumping conferences is a mess.
ACC wake up call. Add Norte Dame and West Virginia.
We are a University, not a minor league Team.
The SEC has wanted Clemson since the 1980’s.
Focus on Clemson.

Being under the thumb of the SEC and Bama sounds more repulsive every day. I'd rather make a deal with any other conference, or just add the best teams we can to the ACC.

What the world would adding ND & WV do for this already failing league? WV is garbage and just adding 1 decent team is not going to do anything for the ACC. we would need to merge with the Big10 and have OSU & Mich stay in the league. We will lose a ton of the recruiting battles if that doesn't happen. The ACC is indeed in trouble if something major doesn't happen.

I think things will work out in some kind of fashion where Clemson can be successful. Can you spell successful without SEC?

All but about 3 teams in the secheat are simply very small fish in a big pond. Some things just never seem to change. Texas and Oklahoma will continue to be just small fish, but time will tell. Our path to a championship is easy - just win all our games, and the rest will take care of itself. It would be very nice and beneficial for other teams in our conference to improve, as well.
