Do we offer Texas guys as simple gestures of good will?

Who was the last meaningful player from Texas that we landed, that did not have an existing relationship with a coach?

Don't know about that. But his brother played for Notre Dame and currently plays pro in the CFL. He sounds like an extra nice kid.

If the Tigers don't make an offer, chances are about 100% we don't get a commitment. The Clemson brand is nationwide and we never know when there is a jewel in a far off state waiting for an offer from Clemson. It was only a short time ago when we wondered why we were recruiting players in Ohio. And, why did we recruit Wilkens way up in the Northeast? We now seek the best talent wherever it may be, even if we have to cross several state lines.

Already got Charleston at safety and Spector might end up at safety. Plus we still have a ton of elite prospects on our board and we are only likely to lose Muse after this year. One of those elite prospects is Jalen Catalon, who is a top150 player also from Texas.

No way we are offering at him at RB when we are pursuing Crouch as a LB. That would be mind-numbing.
