Wednesday Night Practice Insider: Cooler weather and making catches laying down

Summer has released its humid hold on Clemson, at least temporarily. The first hint of fall hit campus Wednesday afternoon and head coach Dabo Swinney moved his team back outside in preparation for this weekend’s game against Charlotte. Temperatures hovering in the mid-70s gave an early taste of autumn. Full Story »

I really appreciate the level of performance scrutiny our players are graded against and the level of excellence they are exposed to and to which they are held accountable. At the same time that I appreciate it and love it, I am glad they didn't have that when I was on the team. I speak especially me, but I was not worthy of such scrutiny, and I don't know of anybody on our team who was worthy in those days. We have progressed so far, and I am so proud of what Clemson has become. Y'all, we truly are blessed to live in these times. I'm just delighted to be a fan in these times!

It seems Dabo has a grasp on the *cough* predictable weather in the upstate. I just want our 2.5 weeks of fall weather to get here.

I just like that Dabo said; We should have had 12 sacks, “literally”, the other night and we had eight.

He MUST be reading the Tnets. ;)

of a construction zone. Just about every Wednesday update from the indoor practice field or football complex there is constant vehicle "beeping", stuff crashing, slamming, and banging like they are tearing down the building. Kind of distracting to what is being asked and said. One would think after all these years they could find a quiet corner somewhere for the 10 minutes it takes to do the interview...
