that teams shouldn’t be punished for having to play an extra game (ie: conference championship games). I tend to agree but it’s odd the narrative changed this year. It’s always been, “Take care of business AND win the conf. championship and you’re in.”

It's still true. TCB means beating the Coots and not having more losses than non conf champions, especially named Alabama or Ohio St!
