easily the third best conference.
The ACC is still strong enough to give Clemson a clear path to the play-offs.
Eventually the revenue disparity will hurt and Clemson will not be able to have the same facilities and coaches as the other "Power Conferences", but IPTAY will do their best to keep up.

champ to be the winner of a playoff with just those two conferences, thereby making the ACC, Big 12 and remaining Pac12 a group of five status. Notre Dame is going to have to make a decision soon I think. Either join the ACC in full and help make it a third superconference with like universities etc., or it may decide to go ahead and join the Big10.

especially if the rumor that Cal and Stanford are about to follow USC and UCLA to the BIG is real. That would put both of Notre Dame's "traditional" west coast rivals in that conference. One of their lame stated reasons for not joining the ACC in football was that they would lose those rivalry games. Problem solved if they are one big, happy incestuous family in the BIG.
