to make college ball more NFLish is on display here and is only fueled by social media and the Dark Lords of the Disney empire. Football being the sport most reliant on "team" is now truly feeling the impact of this. The concept of me first is now tearing at the foundations of college football one of the last bastions of team. Right or wrong it's here and Dabo and Clemson are living this adventure on the front lines daily.
Where I worry the most is in Dabo's approach to team first, with high standards and rule etc. These young men spend their formative years before coming to Clemson in an artificial social media world that espouses narcissism, showboating and individualism to the point of detriment. The concept of collective effort and sacrifice for the greater good are dying as a valued social construct and I think we are seeing yet another example of where the self before all is playing out in CFB.
The vast majority of these players will never earn a living from this sport even with NIL and the most important and long-term value things they would take from Clemson and Dabo are being lost to focus on self. Very frankly no one will remember that cool Tik Tok dance that got 10,000 likes in 20 years, but they will remember that somewhere someone taught them those life skills that teach them to function in a society.
I agree. I hate the NCAA and I do think players should earn

some of the money the colleges make on them, but the way this NIL has been brought about is just bush-league nonsense in my opinion.
I wish we would have joined the SEC and just told the NCAA to go pound sand. The SEC could stand by itself as the ultimate football conference and if the NCAA didn't want to allow their teams to play SEC teams, he** with 'em.
