As much as I dislike what has happened to college athletics with NIL and the portal, we have to accept that they're here to stay in one form or another.

While true that we've lost 3 basketball players to the portal, there appears to be an opportunity to improve the team because of it. 2 of the 3 players were marginal and we may be able to find improvements for all 3 spots.

I suspect that many of the fans who are complaining about the portal losses are not donors to 110 Society. If so, they should consider what I did and recognize that we are now a portal-building basketball program - likely to never go back to a pure development program.

If we care enough to complain about results, then perhaps we should donate to 110 Society in order to help with roster expense.

My small donation helped us beat KY, Duke and UNC this year, but I believe they ran out of my funds before the ACC Tournament. Your help is needed.

Well, we have been a victim of March Madness 2 of the 3 times that Brownell's teams have gotten that far...
