See, that's what I'm talking about. I suppose before nil crap, this was one of the most popular things recruits wanted to know. How early can they get playing time. Fantastic now 2 years running... especially when you couple this with our record breaking retention rate.

I think this will have a huge impact on our class this cycle.

This makes sense, because we haven't been using the portal like others have

and have therefore been a perpetually young team.

Regurgitating a false narrative. No surprise there.

Our HS recruiting class size average for years doesn't even crack the Top 40, and we all know the small number of portals we bring in. Dabo keeps and develops players here like no other program, which is why we are constantly one of the more veteran and seasoned groups annually, and so consistently competitive year in and year out. Getting reps for freshmen and subs has always been one of Dabo's winning fortes.

For as often as you post and comment about football matters your ignorance here can only be deemed willful and intentional. Troll on.

“Perpetually” … that means, for perpetuity, doesn’t it?

How’s our 2025 team looking? Young?

Yeah, right.

In theory it would be a fairly equal number between each class.

It's actually corrupted by the fact that good recruits in one position two years in a row will lead to one class having fewer of those top recruits for at least one year. Some of the top recruits don't want to sit the bench for a redshirt year.

You saw the snap count for true freshmen this season, you must admit that high school recruits are attracted to that.

is the negative impact of our Covid years' recruiting classes and how that aligns with us not being a consistent Top 5 or Top 10 program - merely a pedestrian Top 15 or 20. A huge part of Dabo's secret sauce isn't just athletic assessment, it's character and leadership assessment along with identifying outside influences. Several years of Zoom only and no in-person visits took a toll. Our '23, '24, and now '25 class are more representative of the type of player that meshes best with our program and its foundations, almost by default. That most sports media views us as a legitimate championship threat this coming season aligns with us having the proper access to wield our recruiting prowess.

Coaching hires / promotions, the transfer portal, NIL, Dabo getting fat and happy - this is what seems most obvious and therefore easiest to run with when trying to explain why we haven't been as dominant lately. What's 'so obvious' though seldom is. If it were, this profession would be easy.
