The case of Joe McCarron, Letterkenny, Ireland

Anti-vax extremists, citing "common law" bullied the hospital staff and the victim Joe McCarron, basically pushing him to leave the hospital when he was clearly hypoxic and not thinking clearly. They took him home where is health further declined, then a couple days later, his family brought him back to the hospital because of course he couldn't breathe. Then he died.

Senior Garda in Ireland are investigating the case. The deranged wife invited them, so she is partly to blame but they should all be held accountable. Undue influence and involuntary manslaughter.

be done for years on the psychology of denial, but it is as real as covid, and it's just as incurable.

And then there's stuff like the chart below, which will become more common towards the next election.

Yeah, the active suppression of facts by demagogues are the worst part of this whole deal. Because their is an audience hungry to consume their lies, they have grown in numbers and power.

It seems more obvious to me than ever that social media is 90% of the problem here. Too many attention seekers trying to make a name for themselves, wannabe experts like this Italian pub owner, inserting themselves into what should be a very private and personal doctor-patient relationship.

Amongst the willing participants who buy into this crap, the social media fire has helped burn down their trust in doctors and medical institutions. Their failure to listen to medical advice is 100% on them for becoming overly invested in this political theatre, which uses fear and demagoguery as a principal motivator.

Social media has turned into a more dangerous Darwinian agent then any virus out there.
