I know this is a bad take but why are we all accepting these new age streaming services to mess up our abilities to watch sporting events. I just want to turn my tv on and watch sports, but here lately the new streaming stuff has taken over my events. I wish we could all somehow speak out against these new streaming services but maybe I am in the minority on this issue. I don’t understand why we can’t have the option to watch our old fashioned cable tv or stream our high tech stuff. If we aren’t careful we will all start accepting the electric car as a good idea too. Sorry I know everything is ultimately about money but every once in a while I have to rant.
I wish this were true, but I think those days are gone. There is more money in peddling political and cultural propaganda than there is in advertising. Most of what they call "ratings" now are manipulated to get you to watch the shows someone wants you to watch. Sports may be the last part of television where that is not the case. I wish we could get back to a model where ratings drove content.
Streaming sports sucks because of latency. You can no longer sync up with radio etc.
So boring in fact, I’ve probably only watched about 30 minutes TOTAL of NFL this season. The number of minutes is declining every year. I just have no interest and cannot stand the stupid commercials. Anyway, that’s just me. Carry on.
Flipped it off before halftime, was a thrilling game at 3-0. The streaming services (Amazon, Apple TV and Disney) are in a bidding war for DTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket for next season. Initially I was hoping Amazon would win the bid since I already have it, but .. it’s been painful to watch on Thursdays. I can’t imagine them having all of the Sunday games unless they greatly improve their broadcasts.
