After a straight decade of winning conference Titles, Clemson playoff wins, and 2 National Championships (including absolute beatdowns of Alabama, ND, Ohio St) I believe it worked out well. If Dabo sees a young guy within our program to move into a prominent role.. I’m totally behind Coach (not that he’s asking us anyway ??). Clemson Football is gonna keep rolling out greatness regardless of our TigerNet “opinions”. I’m excited to just sit back and enjoy this amazing ride ??
Number One thing to always remember is this: Dabo is

very proud and EXTREMELY protective of what he has built here at Clemson. And the thing he is MOST protective of is what he calls The Clemson Culture. It is why he is very hesitant to start using the Transfer Portal, and why, IF HE BELIEVES THEY WILL BE SUCCESSFUL, he prefers to promote from within.
But, his protection of that same Clemson Culture also includes WINNING GAMES. He always says "The fun is in the winning", and "It's HARD to win." So, we don't have to worry about him making future changes if a staff promotion from within is not getting the job done, AND IT IS THEIR FAULT in his eyes. That last part is really important.
Tony Elliot is a perfect example. While we bored jeanouses here on Tigernet are howling for his job, other schools (yes, schoolS, multiple) think highly enough of his work to highly consider having him take over the whole reigns of their football programs. But, even with that being said, we will never know if Dabo sat down with TE and had a frank discussion, and said, hey, it may be time to take your shot and move on. If Dabo really laid our offensive problems at Tony's feet, you can bet that conversation DID take place already, before the coaching carousel really got spinning.
