With over 25 years in education, students who performed well, worked hard, and gave maximum effort came from not only from classes where the teacher knew the material, but who were able to motivate/inspire through their connection and relationships. Those students stay in contact and remain connected via those memories.

I've got former student/athletes in their 50s

It was amazing to coach the parents, but I also get to see their kids play and even a few grandkids. It has little to do with me, but I still feel very proud to see the results grow over the years.
