I am an ordained minister of DUDEISM. DUDEISM is An ancient philosophy that preaches non-preachiness, practices as little as possible, and above all, uh…lost my train of thought there. It is the World's slowest growing religion as Dudeist tend to be kinda "laid back". The goal is to find peace on earth and goodwill for all.
The “rebel shrug” IDs us. Life is short and complicated. Nobody knows what to do about it. So don’t do anything about it. Just take it easy, man. Stop worrying so much whether you’ll make it into the finals. Kick back with some friends and some oat soda. Whether you roll strikes or gutters, do your best to be true to yourself and others – that is to say, "ABIDE".
Although present day Dudeists may lack three thousand years of beautiful tradition, from Moses to Frank Shorter, we do share the great spiritual insights espoused by many great Dudes throughout the ages. My first encounter with Dudeism was Jimmy Stewart in the movie - 'HARVEY' (which I delve into in my lectures).
I am ordained and qualified, but no longer officiate at weddings and funerals. I will show for receptions and wakes if there is an open bar. I can/will lecture as an expert on "ANY" subject at your next gathering (open bar required). I am a traveling Dudeist DJ, but only use my own equipment and only play tunes before 1979.

In the movie, that Dude (there are many Dudes) would not let that aggression stand. All he ever wanted was his rug back.

These days I wear what ever folks give me - those fun shoes are from my Bride. I lost all my clothes except a pair of shorts and a purple t-shirt in the fire. It was strange as I had a lot of nice things collected over the years including my Army Uniforms still starched and ready in case they needed me again.

Funny you should say that. In the fire lost a rare set of Cambridge Soundworks Mick Fleetwood Signature Kloss New Ensemble III Portable Speakers.

The case is the subwoofer.

I had a closet full of amps and speakers as I was/am a collector and a fan of "better audio". I collected many things over decades.
Now I have just a few things, but all are things I need.

I have talked with Frank a few times, more a fan of his rival Bill Rodgers. Why Frank fits is he is credited for starting the jogging boom after he won the Gold Medal. Running became a new religion. His accomplishments and hard work motivated many to get off their a ss and improve themselves. We can't be Frank, but we can have some fun just walking around the neighborhood.

He and Bill Rodgers finished 1 and 2 in the 1976 Peachtree i believe. Jeff Galloway was up there too. Still have my shirt, a bit tattered though. Good days.

Faulty memory here. At least Rodgers and Galloway were there. Maybe Shorter ran another year. Lee Fidler was known for running around Atlanta in mid summer in full sweat suits. Bonkers.

I ran the Peachtree 10k in Atlanta a few times in the 90s. It was on July 4th if I remember correctly. Brutally hot. Like 90 degrees plus. Not ideal weather. 😀
