Take a deep breath on Venables.

The rumors flying on the OU bards are that Venables will be named today in a press conference at 3:00. (4:00 Clemson time.) It's now 2:30. No announcement of a presser. So, they are going to announce a new HC and not give the press 30 minutes notice?

Color me skeptical.

Venables may end up at OU. But, I've been reading message boards for 20+ years on the coaching carousel. And I've learned there are people who post things on message boards who know nothing but just want to see how many replies they can get.

Just like Riley takes a new job and barely 24 hours later not only is BV already the head coach but he’s also talked at least 3 Clemson players into leaving with him.

A frenzy created only by the mention of the possibility that something MIGHT happen.

It's a frenzy for the sake of a frenzy, kind of like the Kardashians being famous only for being famous. There's nothing to either.

Seen a few Asst Coaches hired away I guess? We have been fortunate since Chad Morris. If we loose one this year Dabo needs to hire an Alabama grad. We need to keep one in reserve.

Frank Howard, Charlie Pell, Danny Ford & Dabo have worked out pretty good!

- A self-proclaimed parody Bleacher Report twitter account fabricated the Venables/3 players story

- Someone posted a pic from Jake Veneables/DJ from weeks ago with no context claiming it was sent today.

- Posters claiming to know a mod, who knows an athletic department contact, says it's a done deal with a 3pm presser.

What are they all gonna say after 3:00pmCT when nothing happens?
