Stranded in Litchfield . . .

On vacation with the family, and went to fill the car up earlier today but long lines everywhere. Daughter of and her boyfriend took her car soon after and found a place that still had gas and not a long line. They went out to eat tonight and offered to take my car and fill it up at same station. Just got a call that station is now out of gas, as are all others in the nearby vicinity. Should I go ahead and call into work and explain how I won't be back next week?
