with the other OL starters to see if he can separate himself and earn the job but so far he has not done so.

Yes, and one of the highest ranked recruits we have ever signed out of high school (top 20 I think).
I’m not sure what his issues are but he hasn’t done anything so far.

That's unfortunate but understandable to a degree as last year was just his third in the program. I hope he blows up this year. It would be a huge plus for us.

this coming season. He is right on track and will see plenty of time even if not starting. The line will be back to a 8+ rotation this year

All the coaches were raving about Leigh stepping up this spring. Will be awesome if he can step in and dominate at left tackle.
Would be a lot if raw talent at the tackles on both sides

Some how I missed or forgot the rave reviews for Leigh in the Spring. That will be awesome and a big deal for our OL and offense in general if he continues to improve.

Fair enough.
But, I think Dabo in the fullness of time is an elite evaluator of talent. Maybe one of the best ever in CFB.
When he calls out a spring performance like he did for Leigh, I don’t think he’s blowing smoke or trying to build confidence.

Yeah,
I was just looking and I can’t remember a time where we fielded a starting OL with all 4 & 5 star guys.
Tristan Leigh LT - 5* / 315
Marcus Tate LG - 4* / 325
Will Putnam C - 4* / 315
Walker Parks RG - 4* / 315
Blake Miller RT - 3/4* / 315
The funny thing is that Blake Miller was probably the lowest rated OL recruit out of the bunch, but it sounds like he may end up being one of the best.
