Speaking of tree trivia???

I saw a plant as big as a tree in someone’s yard that I have never seen before. It has a large clump of stuff at ground level that resembles big cabbage leaves and has a stalk the size of a telephone pole with something like a bloom at the top- probably 20 feet off the ground-what is that thing?

What is it?? I think a better question might be what were you smoking when you saw it?!? Kidding. Are you in the tropics somewhere?

Agave also sends a towering pole-sized central shoot.

agaves, and fish. If it wasn’t for Tnet I wouldn’t have done a deep-dive google search for a cabbage looking plant with big flower stalk, only to find out that agave is in the asparagus family. Who’d a thunk it 🤔
