We are still in the Golden era y'all.

Truth.
Also, maybe it means we will have noon games and I can get lower deck tickets.

I was at the Tulane, NC State, and FSU games. The last two were blowouts. The opener against the Green Wave went down to the wire. We had the ball near the end zone in the last minute but were stopped. A truly horrible season.

Truly, this must be Bama fans’ expectations that is leading to their success.
Just remove the “Best Is The Standard” banners and replace them with “It Could Be Worse.” At least they would be honest.

"bowl" game was the South Carolina game.
A number of us said for years we hoped we lived long enough to win another national title after the 1981 championship. We've won two more...unbelievable!
Few of us are amused by this year's offense, which, more than likely, involves several issues. At this point we have to trust our head coach and staff to correct the problems, simply because all the talking, griping and worrying aren't going to solve anything other than soothing our own feelings.
Yet, TigerNet is a forum for good, ole Clemson folks to air out their minds, which usually reminds me of b.s. sessions in the tin cans after games...some of those "get-togethers" being downright ugly and nasty! lol

Ditto! Take a look at the scores in 1976, my freshman year. And the GA game was on TV (rare in those days)! Televised embarrassment……

I vividly remember being thrilled anytime our name appeared in the top 25. Helll, I’d cut the AP poll out of the newspaper and hang it on my wall.
Now we’re all supposed to be pisssed that we’re ranked 25th.
Not saying this season is looking good. But just a little perspective.

If the roster wasn't full of 4* and 5* recruits

This would be easier to accept. It's the expectation that with the amount of talent on the roster this team should definitely win the ACC every year and compete for a spot in the playoffs until the rest of the ACC catches up. What we are seeing is a failure of the X's and O's. Coaching ineptitude. Clemson has the Jimmy's and the Joe's. Those Hatfield/ West/Bowden teams had very little talent compared to what Clemson has today.

Ford era folks had the high expectations.

But we knew we’d go 9-2 or 8-3. Sure, we’d have great teams but their was usually a Duke or NC State debacle. ##### had their moments. Good teams and finished between 10-20 in the AP pols. We still got drunk before games, stumbled in, stumbled out. Took a nap and then partied to the wee hours. Circle of life.
Would be nice to finish ranked this year though.
