So Satterfield is leaving the Gamecocks...

.. for a lateral move to Nebraska as OC.

I'm betting that SC will regret it, given what he did to Tennessee and us the last 2 games.

The Gamecocks fans that posted "fire Satterfield" all season are now going to experience "be careful what you wish for".

Satterfield was fired after the Florida game but it was not going to be announced until after the season. Rumor is that Freddie Kitchens called the plays for their last 2 games which would explain the fact that they actually made use of Rattler's abilities instead of trying to make him a dropback passer. Word also is that Kitchens is headed back to the NFL after this season so their "lightning in a bottle" may be extinguished.

I didn't think Rattler would come back for another year as some of my
gamecock friends were hoping but I would think there is no way he comes back
with a new OC.

Getting rid of Satterfield increases the odds of Rattler returning, imo. Satterfield was round peg, square holing Rattler and preventing him from being successful. Bringing in a more dynamic play caller may entice his return.
