And in this case, it was Neff saying Brownell needs to have a good year.

only said Cade's really lifted everyone's spirits, which kinda blows the "e'erbody just luuuuuved DJ" narrative to hades.
Also said Dabo plans to make use of the portal this off season.
And that theyre (ACC) a little worried at the projected $50M revenue gap between them and the SEC/Big 10.
Oh - and maybe I mentioned this already - that Brownell needs to have a really good year. This year.

Let's talk more about the difference in the TV contracts with ESPN.
1. ACC contract is worth $50-60M per year less than SEC or Big10
2. ACC contract lasts until 2030 something
3. Who was the idiot that allowed for this stupidity to occur? Was it the UNC athletic director turned conference commissioner?
How could the other people at the conference offices allow this?
This conference is so screwed?

Neff made it clear to BB in both conversation and a follow-up letter in April that making the tournament is the expectation. It doesn't sound like any "new" news to me.

Neff believes that we can and should be a yearly NCAA Tournament team. Brad does too, by the way.
But Neff has not said that we must make it this year for Brad to keep his job. He doesn’t view this year in such absolute terms.

He is padding out of conference schedule with only one true road game and not much competition to tease his way into another year. Oh year he does that every year. Look who Michigan State has played or Gonzaga. Those are real out of conference schedules.

Dabo has not brought the program a little higher. He has catapulted our football team to national prominence. Six playoffs, four National Championship Games, two National titles, seven ACC Championships in eight years. Many players drafted into the NFL. He's a tremendous coach and inspiration to many. Hope he keeps on doing it for us another fifteen years.
