Does the AA section (next to the hill) require a student id or is it like any other section? Deciding on purchasing a couple tickets in this section.

When I was a student, I remember it being heavily student only tickets. There are some handicap accessible seats in that section as well, so those were for the general public.
They completely changed the student ticket policy now, so I don't think a student would have them in hand already (and they assign sections, not actual seats now). If you have found tickets available for sale with seat assignments, it's probably safe to say you're fine. You can always ask to be sure...if on stubhub or something, you're good. And also prepare yourself to be surrounded by students.
