Can’t disagree with that.
But, in other breaking news, water is wet…. 😂😉
Do you see where they are ranked in the polls? It’s the coaches, too. Takes me back to our football championship runs. Good news now, as it was then, Tigers just need to win, the talking heads can sukkit!

Today, according to bracketology, Clemson is a 7 and UK a 4.***

Blah blah blah.
You guys act like ESPN is the only one that does bracket projections. There are TONS of them, and they are consolidated on the bracketmatrix website.
Kentucky is currently a consensus 4-seed across 88 bracket submissions. Their best projection is a 3-seed (9 times) and their worst projection is a 6-seed (1 time).
Clemson is currently a consensus 8-seed across the same 88 submissions. Our best projections is a 6-seed (2 times) and our worst is a 10-seed (1 time). Note, that means that 85 projections have us as either a s 7 or 8 seed - very consistent.
* This is as of yesterday. It does not factor in the UNC win, yet.

Well clemsonbluejay, blah blah blah and BLAH backatcha!
The SALIENT POINT BEING not ONLY do we have a better record [this is a layup for you: you’re retort “…. well, they play in the MIGHTY SEC yadayadayada…”; HOWEVER comma and ALSO, we beat the sums of beaches HEAD TO HEAD! So, HOW CAN THE coaches NOT at LEAST rank them BEHIND us - by one position - as opposed to ranking them one position ABOVE US in their poll?!?!?!?
Lastly, tho’, and to your point, I have long since stopped getting hot and bothered (all the caps and such above were just for effect, not exasperation on my part 😉) about the ‘perceptions’ /aka bias, hypocrisy and blatant agenda pushing by ANY ONE in the media. So yes, it is a lot of blahblahblahtodo about nuffin’!!!!
GO TIGERS - KEEP WINNING!!!!! ‘They’ won’t respect you, but we will continue to love you……

you cant base everything on one head-to-head meeting. Otherwise, we should be higher than Duke, right?
Facts are that their NET ranking is 10 spots higher and they have 4 more Quad 1 wins. We also have 3 quad 2/3 losses....including to the worst (and only winless) team in the SEC..at home. Unfortunately for us, we only play one more quality opponent (SMU) and they sit at 40 in the NET with ) quad 1 wins..so how good are they really (probably not that great in reality).
UK has 6 more games against tourney teams and 4 more ranked teams..incl 3 in the NET top 10.
Beginning next year...the ACC needs to back off the 20 conference games, go back to 18 and try to encourage everyone to schedule tougher OOC games...and then of course we have to win. Thats the problem...the ACC had a garbage performance in OOC and against the SEC, its the worst head-to-head I've ever seen in my lifetime.

only helps bolster our seeding as we win. They are banged up right pretty bad and may hit a rough patch down the stretch.

Kentucky is still #17 in the NET, and there are 16 seed in the 1-4 slots. Not a huge stretch.
There's 2 teams in the NET top 30 with Q3 loss: Baylor at 26 and Clemson at 27. Clemson has played more Q3+Q4 games (and gone 11-1) than most of the top 30, where most have player 10 or fewer Q3+Q4 games. Baylor has played 12 Q1 games and gone 4-8, Clemson is 2-3 in Q1 games. Clemson also is near the top in Q2 losses among the top 30 with 2 only Marquett at #24 has more (3) but they're also 5-3 in Q1 games.
So yeah, we've got a couple of good wins, but the numbers tend to show that we've padded our win total against a softer schedule AND are still inconsistent enough to lose to some very bad teams.
Should be favored in all the remaining regular season games and most of them are Q3 opponents.
at FSU (87, quad 2 due to away game) at SMU (40, quad 1 due to away game) ND (99, quad 3) at UVA (105, quad 2 due to away game) at BC (222, quad 3 due to away game) Va Tech (153, quad 3)
On paper we should be favored against all of these, and losing at SMU would not be a "bad". But dropping any of those last 4 games would be a huge black eye and cost NCAAT seeding big time (with @ Virginia Q2 being the least harmful).
Let's hope the pattern of "get ranked, then lose to a bad team" does NOT hold sway for the rest of the year.
