Running the football

I've seen so many scenarios proposed lately that it looks like we want everyone except our RB's running the football. Here's the fax...
Mafah will start. We know he's not 100%, and one good shot to his shoulder could render him unable to even play, but he'll be the first guy out there.
EZE and Adams will both play. Adams is the guy most likely to get 3-4 yards, EZE is more versatile.
We likely will show some creativity. What that looks like is anyone's guess. I do expect certain packages for certain players. Could be Randall, Williams, Brown, Carter, Vizzina, anyone. Maybe one package per player. Maybe even a few option plays.
Cade will run it the most, hopefully not running for his life.
We just need to run it enough to keep them honest. Be able to get some positive yardage. If we could muster 100 yards on the ground, that would be enough.
Ultimately our offense will come down to Cade making plays. I'd expect us to try to spread them out. Line up Briningstool outside along with our WR. One back to help protect. Quick passes. Slants. Curls. Outs. Get positive yardage, then look for the big play. Don't turn it over.

Even with a healthy Mafah we likely aren't running for big yardage

Texas D is very, very good. But we need them to respect the run so they don't just tee off on the pass rush. I do expect some things we have not seen. If a few work, it gets them at least thinking

They haven’t looked very good against mobile QBs. I guess you can say that about almost any D though, especially us.
I do like the fact that neither one of their QBs is an elite runner.
UGA’s backup QB was able to pick up yards again and again with simple designed runs.

Manning can run. Elite? No. Good to very good? Yes.

I've got faith in Eziomume, Dabo was trying Luke crazy to save the kids redshirt year. He's built like a legit D1 rb and has a burst. I worry about his pass blocking though.
I think most people are failing to realize Mafah will still be the primary rb, he might not be very effective while injured but Dabo will continue to feed him the ball.

He's been 4th team all year, behind Mafah, Haynes and Adams due to redshirting

He didn't have any reps, because the plan was Phil and Haynes. That's why Phil finished the game after Haynes injury

As much as we pass it probably was the back who offers the greatest

Pass protection. The crazier the blitz the better the pass blocking RB you want back there. Injured Mafah is likely better at that than running the ball. He’s come a long ways from giving up the hit on Cade against Florida State last year.

He'll get some carries, but I'd be surprised if it's more

than 8-10. He's just not able right now barring a remarkable healing. They moved to Haynes early Sat because of this. Then, the injury.
I doubt Mafah practices a ton, which means EZE and Adams will be getting alot of reps. They're very different in styles, and hardly any tape on either of them.

striperfan I am pulling for an injured Mafah to run the ball as much as possible. Mafah is slow, cannot take hits, and does not have to be considered as a threat in any situation.

I’m sure Mafah runs out there first. 2 weeks won’t heel a bad shoulder. I know, I’ve had 6 surgeries on mine.
However, it will give it a much needed break and might heel enough to play some meaningful snaps.
I’m not sure the injury but he was grimacing constantly and shaking his arm on Saturday night. I’m sure Dabo is planning not have him available for many plays.
