His voice made the character of Vader.
It is really fun to go back and listen to what they had before James Earl Jones. Star Wars certainly would not have been the same, or millions who discovered the franchise.

Such a great actor. We remember the iconic roles of Star Wars and Field of Dreams. But can never forget the smaller roles. He basically stole every scene he was ever in. Such a small part in the movie Sneakers. But I'm guessing you already recalled that as soon as I mentioned it. Every scene he was in of the Tom Clancy movies belonged to him. No role too small.
He will be missed.
