We all know they have made the CFP field one time out of 7 opportunities. How many of the other six years will they claim "implied" playoff appearances in once the field is expanded to 12? "Well, we WOULD HAVE made the playoffs seven straight times by the current rules..."

I really think this was applied because certain teams could not win their way in. So participation trophies were added. College sports is dead in the water due to sports politics.
