Can players who enter the transfer portal still play in the summer league even tho they have no roster spot at a certain college yet?

I understand that but they do recruit and get their players from different colleges. I have read where they can play and read where they cannot if in portal. Was just curious

There is no limitation on guys in the portal playing in summer leagues. Summer ball is a free for all

There is a coastal plains league team that plays about a mile from my home. I have been to many games over the years. Clemson has had a few players play here including one last year. When they announce the hitter they always give the name of the school they are from. I have never heard them say "now batting is such and such from the transfer portal. Lol
