Quarterback possibilities

Apr 5, 2021, 1:03 PM

Tyler Venebles was a high school qb at Daniel HS and ran an offence much like Clemson's. He played very little defense in HS, but picked up on our defense quick enough to be in the mix in our defensive backfield. A very good athlete and quick learner.

Will Spiers was a qb in high school. It's been awhile, but I suspect that Dabo would call on him if needed.

WILD CARD: Chase Brice! Would he enter the transfer portal a third time to play for a championship level team and maybe pull off another miracle? He certainly knows our offence.

Or we could go with Hunter helms and Bubba chandler until Tai heals up in about ten months.

As someone said yesterday, Chase does not want to come back and sit on the bench again. That is why he left. As for the other ones, that sounds like a good route to go. Get them ready in case the Freshman are not.

It seems the 3 freshman QB's we have coming in will work as back ups. That's 5 QB's already.

Don't sleep on James Talton who was a first-team NCISAA All-State selection at St. David’s School in Raleigh.
