Protect the football - Clemson wins

Sep 27, 2022, 2:25 PM

If we don’t turn it over this weekend we win…
Full stop….

Other things will determine our margin of victory….

NCSU’s “best” win year to date….
NCSU 27 TT 14

NCSU scored 10 points off turnovers and another 7 points when TT elected to go for it on 4th down and failed (giving NCSU the ball at the TT 38 yard line) - effectively another turnover…

So basically 17 points off turnovers…

They are an advantageous defense to be sure…

I meant opportunistic more so than advantageous actually….

Regardless they seem hungry and ready to get the turnover ….

Without turnovers…they don’t win

We have to stop them which we did not do last year. Wet balls, wet field and wind create funky throws and plays. Win the lines of scrimmage and we win.

Last year was last year…
We only gave up 14 points in regulation…we couldn’t get out of our own way on offense unfortunately….

Assuming that isn’t the case this year …the only way NCSU wins is if we turn over the ball…that’s their only chance…

I do agree though / you generally win if you control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball…
