Amazing how many of the guys we recruited who chose to go to other schools, 5 stars and high 4s are in the portal. The funny thing is that if you look at their stats based on playing, might be good that we missed.some of these guys after year 1 and 2 never saw the field, or very little.

Many of our higher ranked recruits don't see the field much either over their first two years. Fortunately we have more stick around, put the time and work in, and break through that proverbial wall instead of walking away from it all and starting over.

Most players don't waltz onto a college football field and play well, or at all immediately. Prior to the last few years they knew they had to keep working hard, learn their coaches system and better their performance if they wanted to get on the field, which many of them ultimately did. Now they get pouty, go into the portal and a majority of them end up without a school and their careers are effectively over along with their chance for a free education.
