ACC Tournament Geographic Advantage

If the ACC Tournament was such a huge advantage for Clemson in the 80s and 90s and the reason it was moved, how is moving the tournament to Louisville not an advantage for the Cardinals? Durham was bad enough being so close to the NC3, but Louisville? I think Myrtle Beach or Charleston or even Savannah or Asheville would be a great place that is mid-conference geographically and not within 50 miles of an ACC member.
