that we were told that North Carolina got more foul shots because we were smaller and less athletic and could not defend without fouling. Then we got Wideman and they said he was TOO PHYSICAL....Then North Carolina got Hansbrough and in one game he shot more FT's than our entire team,AND IT WAS BECAUSE hE WAS SOOOO PHYSICAL.....It is not the players...it is the SChool. And UNC and Duke get more preferential treatment than any other teams in this league.

Enjoyed those Rick Barnes teams. With Wideman and the Big O Harold Jamison nobody pushed our front court around. I always thought Harold Jamison missed his calling as a TE or DE for the football team. Could you imagine Big O running down the middle after catching a pass? Who would want to tackle that dude? Or even better have Harold coming off the edge as a DE would terrify any LT or QB. Great memories.

Better more talented teams get to the line more. Less talented teams foul more due to being overmatched.

Yea I had quit watching the games against the 2 blue schools for this very reason. They will always get the border line calls. Too frustrating for myself.

Not sure what was up with the refs in the Georgia Tech game but only 5 total fouls in the first half and then 33 in second half and overtime. And of course Clemson had the only players to foul out. Expect at least 4 Clemson players to foul out against Duke. Been that way as long as I can remember.
