We tend to turn overClemson Presidents and most other officials/heads about every 10 years.He was an anomaly in a good way.

Agree, he and I went out together in 1979 when I graduated. I got to know him fairly well through Student Government. A man of integrity and respect for sure.

when I was a student from 1973 until 1977. The last time was when he handed me my diploma in 1977.

Retired RC & Moonpie once invited wife & I over to their private home

and he told me all about how he had politically saved DV from being flooded and calling for the dikes..

and later Mrs Edwards showed off the entire house which was an exact replica of Clemson's present house for our President..including showing off every closet!

What an honor and it occurred at a funeral in Clemson for a Walters family member of Pendleton when my wife & Moonpie struck up a conversation.
