is not seeing more concerts.

The only one I saw while I was there was The Beach Boys and Chicago out at the baseball stadium. That was a fun show.

I missed Fleetwood Mac, the Stones, Smithereens, REM, Def Leppard and others. I was broke. What can I say.

1972-76. Of all those, Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac are the two I regret having to miss the most.

Fleetwood Mac was touring in support of the "Fleetwood Mac" album that was the first album after Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham had joined the group.

Pink Floyd was touring in support of the "Animals" album, but still had the show heavily tilted towards their previous blockbuster, "Dark Side of the Moon."

I was cramming for Chem E exams, instead of getting stoned off second hand MJ smoke at those concerts. :(

I agree, but for many of us it came down to $$. Although compared to todays prices, $20 for a concert sounds cheep. Back then, $20 to me was a lot.

Carolina Coliseum in Cootlumbia. I splurged and bought the "best seats available in the house". $17.50 per ticket. That was the "One of These Nights" tour, and they were technical perfection.

The LAST time I saw The Eagles, on the first tour after Vince Gill joined up following the death of Glenn Frey, via Ticketmaster resale market, after all their exorbitant add-on fees, it was over $400 a ticket for similar seats at a different venue. Once again, they were technical perfection.

there my first year. George Strait with dixie chicks, tim mcgraw, kenny chesney and some others.. And i think that was the last one they ever did due to 9/11. The 90s was definitely the golden age for shows and concerts. Now all that is so expensive and so hard to come by. Those big shows would cost you 350 bucks to get into these days.

I was still in high school, but wish I could have been there for this concert.

I was there for THE ALLMAN BROTH., JETHRO TULL, THE JAMES GANG, THE BEACH BOYS, and many more. One of the best things about being at Clemson. The sports weren't very good then (1969-1973).

I got to see the Rolling Stones.

I saw the Beach Boys. And, I was present for Chicago but don't recall it.

On another note, I got to see Frankie Goes to Hollywood at the Fox Theater in Atlanta; Cyndi Lauper at Six Flags over Georgia before her speakers blew out after two songs; REO Speedwagon/Styx/Journey at the Bi-Lo Center; Eagles at the BLC; Duran Duran at the BLC (GREAT concert, BTW); Bon Jovi at the BLC; and Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the BLC.

I have worked multiple Christian concerts at the BLC/Bon Secours Wellness Arena, at my church, and on a cruise ship.

Doobie Brothers and Marshall Tucker come to mind for me. There were others but right now I can't remember them. My parents enjoyed Bob Hope on one Homecoming weekend.

And it’s a big one - was deciding not to go to Greenville to see Skynyrd on October 19, 1977. I was still in high school but my brother was 3 years older and had a car. We talked about going but decided to wait until next time they came to Cootlumbia because that was closer. Well we all know what happened after that concert - if you youngsters don’t then google it.
