Oklahoma still losing commitments

Nov 29, 2021, 12:13 PM

Does anyone know if we were heavily recruiting any of Ok's recruits before they originally committed to Ok?

I suspect a lot of these kids may follow Riley to USC***

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

You are probably correct.***

... if they still think they can trust him. I'm sure he told all the recruits that he wasn't going anywhere.

That’s a great point.***

Still, it would be nice to get one of them. Who do you think would be the most coveted?

We should go after that 5* RB from Cali that decommited. We should have some pull there with matre de HS and big dave etc. If we're going to take 2 now.

Wouldn't mind getting that portal oline transfer from Bama that we initially really wanted. Seems it give us depth and experience for next year.

Decent chance OU recruiting never recovers from this

Nov 29, 2021, 1:36 PM

If they don't hire a superstar (and I have no idea who that might be), their best days are behind them.

Bob Stoops isn't the answer. He was running on fumes his last year because he doesn't have the willingness to sacrifice everything for football. I congratulate him for that.

Lots of people saying they could become the next Nebraska***

Good point

Nov 29, 2021, 1:55 PM

Only having Bob Stoops and Lincoln Riley prevented OU from falling several notches like Nebraska.

One advantage they have over Nebraska is geography because a lot of kids in northern Texas identify OU as their favorite school. That will help a little.

Their proximity to Texas will prevent that I believe.***
