Re: OFFICIAL TNET Weight In

Aug 4, 2021, 2:50 PM

I'll guess as close as possible back when I was 19-20 years old. I know that I was 5'11" and weighed around 180/185. I was always pretty fast way back then, and I remember that I could always out run all of my friends, and about anybody else that wanted to foot race.

I don't think that I was ever timed in a 40 yard dash like it's done today, but I think that back then, I was probably a 4.50-40 runner, but I don't know for sure, I know that a lot of people talked about how fast I was when we talked about foot racing...

I'll say this, I was the youngest, and smallest of my brothers, and my 1st cousins that we were around a lot, and I had to run a lot to avoid getting my butt kicked up until I was about 14/15 and decided I wasn't running from them anymore, and I learned to fight back, and getting my butt kicked became a thing in the past. :)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: OFFICIAL TNET Weight In

Aug 4, 2021, 4:38 PM

Paw, you can't count the number of $20 bets that I won in my younger days betting dudes could NOT run a mile under 6 minutes. I gave them two weeks to get into their running shape (not really long enough) even if they were a runner. I collected the cash and not a single one of them ever hit the track.

In you case, I believe you ..... for the simple reason you have given us such good recruiting info these past number of months!

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

LOL! I ran a 5.42 wearing a helmet and cleats when I was 17.

Aug 5, 2021, 7:22 AM

It took everything I had to break 6 minutes. Never have again. I cannot fathom how somebody could break 4 minutes in a mile, much less RUN 26.2 of them at a 5 min. pace!!!!!

Best 40 (non-laser timed) at 17 and 170 lbs was 4.7….so probably higher..maybe much higher. Our coaches never took it seriously. In pads I was often outrun by guys on our team that supposedly had slower times.

Distance wise I ran a sub 5 minute mile once. Once and that was it. I hate running.

At 33 years old 6’ + 215 lbs 40 - 4.7 Bench - 395lbs Squat - 550

At 53 w/two back surgeries 6’ 240 40 - not anymore(slow jog) bench - 285 Squat not anymore....

Ok I need to lose 40lbs, my weight now stays between 230-245 depending on how my diet is...lol

I walk/ slow jog daily but I could do more & I no longer lift heavy like I used to.

I can keep the bench warm & hold for the Field goal kicker now!
